A Mini Beach Break….

Despite being in the midst of creating a new autumn series of work, I couldn’t resist one more little seascape :) I actually go to the beach more often in Autumn than Summer. The light is stunning and of course, they are rather quiet!

You may remember I did some large ocean pieces a couple of years ago… well I’ve created a baby version and in all honesty I wasn’t sure whether it would work on a smaller scale. I actually believe it does work and am rather pleased with the result!

A calming beach at high tide. Texture is the hero of these pieces. Rich ocean blues and soft sandy ripples. As always, my aim was to capture light and movement but also that wonderful sense of escape one feels when beside the ocean. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of creating my own little beach escapes.

This is one of the larger pieces I’ve created previously - ‘The Knowing Sea’. Pieces created for pure escape. There will be more - for sure!

High Tide is available to buy. You’ll find it featured in my Originals collection on the website. Please do get in touch if you’d like any more details.
