Back To The Fall…
I am back ‘on point’! An autumn inspired collection of textile art is in progress and I’m very happy with how it’s going. Between sessions in the studio, I’m out with my camera, capturing pearls of autumn to feed my creativity.
A golden autumn scorched tree, in progress. I’m very drawn to creating trees at the moment and without a doubt both Spring and Autumn feed me with inspiration more than any other time. As with my cherry blossom piece earlier this year, I’m keeping the semi abstract theme in motion so expect something a little less than traditional.
As well as trees, I’m focusing on leaves, moors, autumn flora and colour. You may spot one or two new autumnal pieces in my Originals collection on the website. Keep an eye out as new ones will keep appearing :)
Here are just some of my inspirations… from the woodland near my home in the South Hams to the beautiful surroundings of my studio. Beautiful autumn…
How lucky am I to have this just a stone’s throw from the front door of the studio?! Natural inspiration on my doorstep. I particularly love the contrast of the crisp cow parsley skeletons to the fresh burst of cyclamen on the bank.
Keep your eye out for new creations. I will be sending them out in a newsletter very soon too :) . Please do subscribe if you’d like to be one the first to see my new work.
Happy autumn days.
