The Art Is Up….
After weeks of creative hibernation, I’m delighted to announce that Edge West Studio will be opening its doors tomorrow morning. The studio has had a little makeover, good spring clean and more importantly, has walls filled with new artwork. I love this space so much :)
A few finishing touches this evening. The light is perfect for photos, so thought I’d send some sneaky peeks of what’s in store.
Despite how different Shirley and I are in our styles and mediums, our artworks seems to complement each other so well. As you can see, there is a large body of coastal work although we also have some wonderful floral pieces and abstract art. Something for everyone, we like to think :)
Over the weekend we will be raising money for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. All of the sale proceeds from our greeting cards will be donated - in fact we will be continuing this through coming months.
With so much sadness and uncertainty in this challenging world right now, we hope people will enjoy a brief escape. Ultimately, I create art for others to enjoy - as I enjoy creating it. Sales are lovely of course but so too is watching visitors simply enjoying and appreciating the work.
We are open 10-8 on Friday (tomorrow) and 10-4 on Saturday. I do hope you can make it. Our next open studio weekend is 1st and 2nd of April and after this we are open on Fridays and Saturdays each week 10-4. I’m usually around on a Thursday too - most days in fact! Just get in touch to make sure I’m in on non opening days - visitors are always welcome :)
